Hello Annie. I’m so glad you’ve taken on this role– very exciting for you, but also for all of us using digital pedagogy in the classroom. I’ve just finished teaching a required undergrad course, ENG 810: Advanced English Research Methods, to about 75 students, each of whom had to build a NINES exhibit curating an image and a text from the Yellow Book (www.1890s.ca site, of course) in a cultural context. I have used a lot of exhibit-building assessment tools rather than essays in the last 5 years, and am keen to try other tools. Next term I’ll be teaching “The Social Life of Books” for the first time, and plan to try your Book traces assignment. thanks for sharing!
