Situating the Yellow Book: Image, Text, Context >

Cluster Description
These F2015 exhibits were produced by second- and third-year students in ENG810, Advanced English Research Methods, at Ryerson University in Toronto. Drawing on primary and secondary sources, the students curated a selected image and text from The Yellow Book, an 1890s illustrated magazine, in relation to a specific cultural context.
In making their work available to a wider audience, the students hope to engage others who are interested in fin-de-siècle cultural studies.

Co-Instructors:  Lorraine Janzen Kooistra and Alison Hedley
